Dr. Thomas Huntsman is the chief of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery for Bassett Healthcare Network, a position he has held since 1994. Following his 1983 medical school graduation from Wake Forest University, Dr. Huntsman completed six years of surgical training at Dartmouth College and a two-year fellowship in plastic surgery at the University of California, San Francisco before coming to Cooperstown, New York in 1991. He has performed transgender surgery in Oneonta, New York since 2013. Dr. Huntsman brings 30-plus years of surgical experience, a keen mind, and kind heart to his patients, their families, and partners. He readily performs challenging surgeries and enjoys problem solving in order to help patients improve and transform their lives.
